St.Joseph and the Blessed Virgin with the Infant Jesus were travelling a cold windy road. The Holy Mother lost the pin of her cloak and St Joseph asked two herds to get him a long thorn to act as a pin but they refused. A Smith however made a gold pin out of a piece of money and as a reward for his kindness Mary blessed him and it is said that if a black smith washes himself in the water in which he cools his tools he will feel refreshed.
