  1. In the townland of Derryleigh is a cromlech which is supposed to contain the body of a giant. The old people tell us that his name is unknown because five hundred years have elapsed since he was buried.
    He was a very strong man for we are told that he carried a flag which weighed five tons about half a mile.
    He also had a golden sword, which was buried with him in the cromlech.
    Three flags each ten feet long by eleven feet broad were put standing on the ground. A big flag fifteen feet long by ten feet broad by one foot in thickness was put resting on
