“Once upon a time about fifty years ago, there was a ship-wreck in Bantry Bay.”
Once upon a time about fifty years ago, there was a ship-wreck in Bantry Bay. It happened near Bird Island.
There were six men out fishing. Three of them were Mac Carthy's and three of them were Sullivans.
When the sea rose several feet high, four men were thrown into the sea by the angry waves.
