- Bread was made of flour and sometimes of meal. The people used to make their own flour because there was no mill in the place. They used to make it with two round stones and figures cut out on them and a axle through the middle. They used to throw the wheat in between the two stones and turn the axle round and it used grind the wheat.(continues on next page)
