For a wart:- Wash it in water got in the "well" of a tree or a hollow in stone; Rub a piece of fat bacon on it - bury the bacon and as the bacon decays the wart will disappear.
For mumps:- Get a number of flag leaves which grow in the field- commonly called flaggers. Heat them well and place round the neck and cheeks. They will reduce he swelling.
The seventh son (if all the children in between were boys) was supposed to have power to cure ring worm. If a worm placed in his hand - as an infant - died it was a sign that he had the cure.
For black leg in cattle:- a poultice is made of "yarra", root and tobacco pounded together. An incision is made in the animal's tail and this poultice is applied.
