There is a dear old spot I cherish, where the Argideen river flows
Never shall my memory perish, till my life shall near its close.
Its the usual spot of greeting where the youngsters have their fun
Where they play their five & twenty and their game of pitch and toss
That's the way to an honest record, and to keep it 'round the "Cross"
    II
While the football is repairing they will throw a little score
And the bowls they do come rearing as they strike the garage door
A few shillings may be parted, but they never mind the loss
For they always are light-hearted around "Reenascreena Cross"
All the boys love good John Hurley
