need to buy any linen or thread, because mostly all the women had spinning wheels at home. They used always spin enough thread for the use of the house. They used to knit their stockings, and other garments. The old people did not know what parffin oil was at all. Splinters of bog wood were used to give light and after a while they commenced to make candles out of tallow.
