  1. Potatoe Starch.
My granny Mrs Jane Cox of New Ruskey aged 71 years told me how she used to make potatoe starch in her young days.
First of all she said she got some big potatoes and washed them very clean, when she had done so she got a grater and grated them. She then got a little boxty bag and put the boxty into it, and then she squeezed the water out of it into a white bucket. She said she left the water in the bucket for some time.
she then drained the water out of the bucket and the starch lay on the bottom.
