  1. A Story
Patrick Murtagh told me the following story. One night as he was going home from Ruskey he met a man coming out the road he spoke to the man but the man made him no answer.
He continued walking on but as he came to a gate, he could not go any further. He turned and walked back to Ruskey again but when he reached the gate he was stopped again. He continued walking this way all night but not until daylight could he pass by the gate. When he reached home he was very tired after being out all night.
    Michael Mullark, Ruskey,
    Co. Roscommon.
