  1. The way we make potato cake is. When the potatoes are boiled they are peeled into a basin. They are bruised well then with the bottom of a saucepan and we add flour and salt but we put in no milk.
    Then it is made quite smooth and cut into four parts. While we are doing this we have a griddle heating on the fire and before we put them on the griddle, we put butter melting under them so that they would not burn. When they are done on one side that are turned and the four are put standing
