  1. The old people say if you get a sting from a nettle and place a dock leaf over the sting the severity of the pain ceases.
    If a Paddie's leaf is placed over a bleeding wound the bleeding will stop immediately. A cure for warts is to get a snail and rub it on the warts, then stick it on a thorn of a bush, and according as the snail is dying the warts will be going.
    If a ninth son places his hand where a person is affected with a cancer it will be cured.
