  1. The name of my native townland is Feigh. It is situated in the parish of Loughglynn and in the Barony of Frenchpark. The number of families living there is thirty and the number of people living there is one hundred.
    Ten of the houses are slated and the others are all one storey high. Long ago this village was the haunt of the deer thus giving it its name, Feigh, which means the way of the deer. Ten old people over seventy years of age reside in it. However none of them can speak Irish language or tell stories in English or in Irish.
