    From Erins shore
    No sad or broken heart
    In pangs of wool

    Across the stormy foam
    For here is found
    A house and ground
    To labour on at home

    The poor mans life
    Was worse than any (life) slave
    To drive and mow
    To plough and sow
    'Twould pauper and knave
    For each bit he got
    Ten drops of sweat
    Had fallen from his brow
    But now at last That day is past
    Thank God its not so now
    The men we sent to represent
    Our little town you know
