  1. Once a man came from Kilbricken to Hosie's and asked him if he kept sheep. Hosie said he did. The man told him he dreamt there was a crow bar, a griddle, and a pan of gold hid in a bare spot where the sheep used to lie. Hosie and the man went to dig for it. When the got the griddle and bar the man said they would leave it till morning to rise them. When Hosie went in the morning there was only the griddle and bar and the empty pan to be seen, and no sign of the man or gold. There is some of the griddle still to be seen.
