    About one hundred yards North West of Clonohill cross there is a rath in the Fields.

    About one hundred yards North West of Clonohill cross there is a rath in the Fields. There is nothing there now except the remains. There is still to be seen the ring where it was. The ring is about one foot in height all around. A couple of Whitethorn bushes still grow on the mark of the ring. You could see to the Devil’s bit from this place.
