    Erysipleas
Miss Cahil of Tomahoe cures erysipleas. She cures it by getting a certain plant and burning it to ashes. She puts the ashes in brown paper and sprinkles with holy water. Then she divides the ashes into three parts and puts an egg-cup of ripe cream to each part. She gives this to the person who has erysipleas.
    A thorn
A cure for a thorn is to get a bit of fat meat, and put it to the thorn. Next day the thorn will be out.
    Chilblains
The cure for a chilblain is to get mustard and vaseline and rub it on
