  1. About one hundred years ago there was an enormous dog seen in "Mooney's Bog" Drumass, Inniskeen, Co. Monaghan. It was a large red dog with a head like a horse on it. He had very long legs, and was very thin. He was about the height of a pony.
He usually appeared once a year. One morning as John Kieran, Drumass, Inniskeen, Co. Monaghan, was going out to milk he saw him. He shouted at it but it did not move. He told a few people about it when he went home.
A few men watched for a while and they could not see it. Next year again he appeared at the same place. It appeared for about five years, and then it disappeared and was not seen since.
