  1. A Swimmer.
    One of the best-known swimmers in Kilkenny is Ray Cleere. He is a type of swimmer that everybody who is fond of the water, would like to be. I have seen him on many occasions swimming down the river Nore, putting every ounce of strength into that powerful "overarm" stroke of his and moving as fast as a man could walk. Every time he takes a dip passsers-by take a deep interest in his swimming and stop to look at his beautiful strokes.
