  1. I live in the townland of Castlejohn in the Parish of Ballyneale and in the Barony of Kells. There are eight houses in the townland of Castlejohn. There are forty five people living in the townland of Castlejohn. Nearly all the houses in Castlejohn are slated. The reason why all the houses are slated is that the Slate Quarries are so near and it is easy for the people around to get the slates. The most plentiful name in the townland of Castlejohn is Millea. There are alot of old ruins of houses left there all the time. There are a lot of rivers in the townland there is a river flowing at the back of our house and it is flowing into the Suir in Castlejohn, Carrick. The oldest man in my home district is Mr Denn he is seventy years of age.
