  1. Kiltinane castle is situated within two miles of Fethard and five of Clonmel, Co. Tipperary. It is a very beautiful castle built on a rock, with water flowing underneath. This water makes such noise falling from the castle to the rocky bed below that it is called "The Roaring Spring". The water passes over a stone which is covered with blood; and
