    that he would be killed by lightning. The boy then led a good holy life.
    When he was eighteen years of age he went to work to a priest and every day he went to the church to pray. He was so holy that one day as he was praying at the altar the statue of the Blessed Virgin began to talk to him and every day that he went to pray the Blessed Virgin spoke to him.
    One day as he was speaking to the statue the Blessed Virgin said, "Will you come to dine with me to - morrow at half past twelve?" "I will," replied the boy, "but wouldn't the priest like to come too."
    "All right," said the Blessed Virgin, "he may come too."
