Some years ago there was a wake in a house and one of the men that came to the wake put a cord around the dead man that was in the bed and put the cord down under the bedclothes and tied it at the foot of the bed. At this time there used to be pipies and tobaco so one of the fellows said "Sure maybe he would like a smoke" so he placed a pipe in the dead man's mouth. All went well for a few hours until
