    that he met a gentleman riding a horse.
    "Am I far from a house"? asked the scholar.
    "No!" said the gentleman "just around that turn."
    So off he went until he came to the house. A king lived in it with his son and daughter. He knocked at the door and the king's servant came out to the house. They greeted him and brought him up to the king's room. He ordered his servants to prepare a meal.They gave him a meal of tea, meat, and bread and butter. So he ate a hearty meal. After that he gave him five pounds and off he went to pay for lodging and food.
