- For St. Patricks Day people made crosses of paper. The paper was cut in a round piece and a cross of paper put on one side of the cross and blood on the other. The people wore them on St. Patricks Day. The men wore them in their hats and the women wore them on their sleeves. The people make a cross on their shoulder with a burnt furse also.
St. Brigids cross was made of plaited straw and it was put up in the houses.
