    Naked again, we must to-morrow lie.
    Born to lament to labour and to die.
    As smoke that rises from the Kindled fires.
    Is seen this moment and the next expires

    As empty clouds by rising winds are lost.
    Their fleeting forms scarce - soon found than lost.
    A flower that does with opening morn arise.
    And flourishing the day at evening dies.
    III
    So vanishing our state, so pafs our days.
    So life but opens now and now decays.
    The Cradle and the tomb alas; so night.
    To live is scarce distinguished from to die.
    A man by the name of Scurry was buried under the stone. He was supposed to be a famous writer. It was said when he was buried people from Kilmacow stole his corpse and brought it home. When the people of Mullinavat heard this they went to Kilmacow and brought him back and for a long time a person was kept there to mind it.
