    man named "Edgar Ellis" who used to distribute soup to the poor people. One day while a poor woman was bringing a gallon of soup She met this gentleman on her way home. He put his walking stick into the soup lest there might be any meat in it. She gave her opinion of him in the following line:-
    Edgar the badger, the beggar complete.
    Stirred up the soup to look for the meat.
    I have to hold fast my temper for the day it is cold.
    And my shawl it is thin.
    For I must feed the garsúins in down younder "glin".
