  1. About 20 years ago a young girl named Stasia Murphy came for Cushinstown Co. Wexford on a visit to Mullinavat, Co. Kilkenny. She was very good at making songs and very witty at giving smart answers. She liked Mullinavat so well that she composed the following song about it.
    Song
    In the Co. Kilkenny lies sweet Mullinavat,
    And not far from the street lies the station from that.
    The Convent it stands on the side of the hill.
    And the beautiful weir ripples down to the mill.
    II
    The Creamery too you should stand to adminre.
    Of its milk and its butter you never would tire
    The Jarvey cars all are there with in call.
    And horses don't wait to get up if they fall.
    Our fowl market too it is quite up to date.
    Where poultry are sold at a very high rate.

    At the dances the buacaills would open your eyes.
    The fair maids they twist sure its there their
