How Dunkit got its name. One time in a place called Dunkit near Waterford two women were fighting. One of the women's name was Kit. While they were fighting another woman came on the scene and said to Kit who was the weaker of the two, "be gor ye'r done Kit" and ever since the place is called Dunkit.
