When the seagulls come inland, a fog gathers on the hill tops, a cat or dog turn their backs to the fire, when salt gets damp, swallows fly low, a curlew sounds a warning note, and when the smoke goes to the ground, is a sign of rain. When the sun goes down red, the swallows fly high, the smoke goes up straight or the crows go away early in the morning, we will have fine weather.
