- (continued from previous page)the blanket was finished it was taken home again where it was thickened. In order to do this a door was left down flat in the middle of the kitchen floor and a pot of water and soap was boiled on the fire and the water was thrown gradually on the blanket. At the same time two men sat on the floor opposite each other and kept kicking the blanket until it was thick enough.
