  1. When the Protestants took over St. Brigids' Church in Kildare town there was a window in it with the Twelve Apostles painted on it. The Protestants did their best to get the paint off the glass but they failed. Then they took out the glass & put in plain glass. The next morning when they came to the church the Twelve Apostles were painted on the window. (Ellen Connelly, Grangeclare West from Mr Pat Lyons)
If a person steals anything out of a chapel he will have to come back to replace it when he dies.
    An old saying is
To lend or to spend or to give in
Tis a very good world to live in
But to beg to borrow or seek in
Tis the very worst world to live in.
