- There was a man living in Tickneven and he used to go every night to his friend's house to play cards. One night when he was coming home he saw a ghost in front of him dressed in white, and when he came up to it, it would not let him pass, and that night he had to go back and stop in his friend's house and the next night he went to play cards there again.
