  2. Paddy the Irishman with an Englishman and a Scotchman were talking one day. They had a bet on which of them could see the longest way off. The Englishman said he saw from (land) London a midge on a cock of hay fifty miles away. The Scotchman said he saw a far off tower in France. Paddy said he got up one night and saw the moon. He won the bet.
