  1. My Home District
    I live in the parish of Allen in the townland of Grangeclare West and in the barony of Connell. There are about twenty families and eighty-one inhabitants in this district. The most common names are Dunnes, and Brennans.
    Some of the houses are thatched others have corrugated iron roofs and a couple of the houses are slated.
    Some of the families that emigrated from this townland to America are Hickeys, Fallons, Clares, Dygens, Doghertys, Hannons
