    Another cure for Whooping Cough
Give a donkey a cut of bread. Hold a saucer under its mouth and keep the crumbs which fall from the donkey's mouth. These, when eaten, by a person suffering from whooping cough will act as a cure, so the old people tell us.
    Cure for a Sty
Procure 10 thorns from a gooseberry bush.
Make the sign of the cross 10 times
Then throw one thorn over either shoulder
Make the sigh of the Cross 9 times with the remaining 9 thorns
Repeat this 3 times and the Sty will be cured. I have applied this remedy several times and have been cured each time.
    Another cure for a Sty.
