  1. There are forts in the school district (Ballinilane N.S. Ballyhar parish, Co. Kerry) but they are not known as "Fairy Forts". They are simply called "forts". There is at least one fort in each of the following townslands, namely, Leamnaguilea, Scart, Lisheenacannina, Rathcomane, Ballinilane, Ballyahr, Colune and Caherdean. These townslands are in the vicinity of the school.
    Almost every one of them is built on elevated ground and they are all within view of one another. They are all circular in shape and there is a fence of earth around each one of them. There are
