I got the following from my father,
    James Ward,
    Annaroe,
    Monaghan.

    Local Heroes. Mc Kenna.
Once there lives in Ireland a great hero. His name was Mc Kenna. There came men from strange countries to challenge him.One day he was going to the city and he met a man coming out the road. The man asked him where did Mc Kenna live.He said that he was him. They talked a few minutes and then Mc Kenna put out his hand to shake hands with the man.Mc Kenna bruised his fingers so much that the blood leaped out of every finger. The man had a little ass and cart.Mc Kenna took the ass by the tail and threw him over the ditch. The man then went home with his fingers broken.
