    people who visited it placed ribbons on the bush as momentoes. Many years ago a farmer living near the well would not believe it was blessed. He went one day for a bucket of water to boil turnips. He placed a great fire under it but he could not get the water to boil or if he had it down until now it would not boil. He believed in the holy well ever after when he saw this.
