  1. (continued from previous page)
What are the three things that a woman should be like, and at the same time, that she should 'not' be like?
    1. She should be llike a snail - always to do her work inside, and she should 'not' be like a snail, because when she would go out, she should not carry her house on her back.
    2. She should be like a town-clock - always to keep regular hours, and she should 'not' be like a town-clock, because when she would go out, her voice should not be heard all over the town.
    3. She should be like an echo - always to answer back when spoken to, and she should 'not' be like an echo, because she should not repeat everything she hears.
