    In the olden times when a funeral was passing a rath holy water was sprinkled on both sides of the road for a hundred yards past the rath. It is said that if that was not done the fairies would steal the persons soul.
    When a knife falls to the ground a man is coming to the house. When a fork falls on the floor a woman is leaving the house and when a spoon falls it means a death or a birth in your neighbour's house.
