  1. There are certain days much looked upon as being lucky for doing certain kinds of in our district.
    Friday is looked upon as being the day and then my father starts ploughing or setting cabbage.
    On the day people begin work such as ploughing, harrowing house building or changing from one house to another.
    The "Cross day" is known in our district as Thursday and people do not like to do any important work on that day.
    They day on which 28th of December, the feast of the "Holy innocents, falls is called the "odd day" In our townland a young couple will not get married on that day.
