    Long ago if people had a cow grazing in a field in which there was a fort, or a lone bush, She would go lame, and they would boil water with a needle in it, and give it to the cow to drink. They said that the fairies were out shooting, and shot the cow's foot.
    Cassidy's clock
    When a cow (would break) was drinking water long ago. Sometimes the cow would drink this water clock. The old people would steal a bit of cloth from some man the name of Cassidy, without him knowing and burn it at her nose.

    Put a bridle over a person's head, and make him walk over a south flowing stream.
    Whooping cough
    Make the person walk between a donkey's legs.
