  1. Once upon a time there was a landlord in Derrynoose named Mourtray. He evicted a family called the McBennetts who lived in Drumnahavil. The country people all gathered and built him a house and roofed it on the farm of the late James Woods. When the landlord heard this he made his men pull down every stone.
