    I travelled all Ireland from top to the bottom,
    and attended all weddings and wakes near and far,
    And the jolliest spree that I ever attended
    Was a wake on a ragman that died in Lemgar

    'Twas Red McAree was the cause of the nonsense
    He died in Pat Rooney's and gave them a scare
    and the word was sent round with that fool Terry Atty,
    To gather all rascals down to Lemgar.
