    Me and my beast along the road,
    So taper and so steer,
    The old woman had to take one side,
    Believe me boys for fear.

    And for battle she did prepare.
    And she went at the rate of a wedding to November Keady Fair.

    I drove her in to the markets I mean the old church hill
    Where lots of horney cattle around her there stood still.
