    CNOC a' CHAPAILL
    misspelt and mispronounced Knocknacoppul.
    Gave its name to a chapel in its western side - Cnoch a Lisín and still gives it to a dispensary in Gort an Ailháin(?) Buidhe
    Sudivisons:- Gabhlán - Buna an Bhaile, Bárr a' Bhaile at its northern side
    The house at Cnoc a' Lisín now owned by James Mahony was built and occupied by the Moynihans one of whom was married to a lady of the O'Connell family of Derrynane. They - the Moynihans, were agents of Captain Fágan of Cork. They change the name of the townland to "Freemount".
    Near this place is the cemetery of Sean Shéipeál i.e. "Old Chapel". Three priests were buried here. In 1910 a wall was built round the cemetery..........
