  1. There was a big storm in my Parish in February nineteen hundred and eight.
    The storm blew from the west so hard that it blew the roof of Ballinclemesig creamery. It carried it over in the fields of John Kearney's house. That night it blew again and swept the roofs off many houses in Ballinclemesig district.
    There were thunder, a lightning. Patrick Horgan who lived in my place, had a horse grazing on a mountain. The lightning struck the horse, and killed him dead. It rained heavily then. And the storm ceased.
