  1. Long ago when a person got a cut in his finger, he used to get a cobweb and put (in) it up to the cut. It used to stop the blood and heal the wound.
    If a person had the whooping cough, and if he wanted to cure it, he used to go to a man who had a white horse and ask him for a cure for it, and whatever that man said was supposed to cure the whooping-cough.
