Ar an leathanach seo
- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)oat meal and mixed an egg with it, this was called sútén. The old people had only three meals a day .They had pancakes on Christmas night and on Shrove Tuesday . The old people were far stronger and healthier than the people of the present times.
If a man was not working he brought an oat meal cake with him which was made on the previous night. When he started work he took a mouthful of the cake and threw the remainder before him on the ridge.When he came to it he took another mouthful and so on.There was another cake made for the old people. Oat meal was worked in water and sugar a left for a while . Then there
milk added on . The stone was heated red there was a (?) of cabbage put into it , and mixture was poured on this . Then was another greased (?) put over and left it to bake. This was called(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
