  1. Drumcormack is situated in the Barony of Corran. Parish of Emlafad and County Sligo. It is frequently referred to in old Irish literature as "Ancient Corran" Cois Corran which dominates it is often called "the old mountain".
    Corran was inhabited earlier, and for a longer period, than most of the surrounding country. It has a large wealth of ancient monuments, forts and dolmens. Corran boundaries are the Barony of Leyny, the Barony of Coolavin and the Barony of Tir Oillille.
